Returns and Refunds                                                                

American Kandy Co is happy to accept and refund unopened items, for any reason, within 14 days of delivery, from the following product ranges:

  • Sweets and Candy

  • Food and Groceries

  • Drinks and Soda

    Items that are listed as short dated will not be accepted unless damaged in transit.

You must cover the cost for returning unwanted goods; we won't refund the amount you pay to get the goods back to us.

Damaged Goods

Unfortunately due to the shorter life span, perishable goods cannot be returned or replaced. In the event that you do wish to return any part of your order due to shortages, damages or errors in your order, we must be notified by either email or phone within 24 hours of receiving the shipment. We ask that photos be taken of any damaged goods and emailed to In this case the necessary arrangements will be made to have the goods returned to us and on inspection a refund or a replacement will be arranged. Where applicable a refund will be made using the same payment method that was used when purchasing the products.

Please note we cannot provide refunds for any products which are still in the original packaging but may be slightly damaged in transit I.e. a chocolate bar which is not completely attached within the packaging or has broken in half.

You are, however, entitled to return any products that arrive in this way to us for a full refund, providing they are in a saleable condition. You will be responsible for the cost of postage and packaging appropriately for any products returned to in this way, and you must send a photo of the product and packaging to prior to sending the product to us. Any products returned that are not in a saleable condition will not be refunded.

We do not accept responsibility for lost parcels in the instances that a customer requests the parcel to be left in a safe place or is diverted to another address. Once these requests are made the customer accepts full responsibility for the receipt of the parcel.

Refunds may take up to 10 days to reach your account.

Heat Damaged Items

Please note that in summer months there is some risk that chocolate or other heat-sensitive candies will arrive melted. Unfortunately, we cannot control the temperature and conditions the products are exposed to once they leave our fulfilment centre. Delivery trucks can get very hot in the summer months and chocolate is bound to melt. These items will return to their normal state if they are allowed to cool or placed in the fridge. We do not consider these items defective or damaged and our returns policy does not apply to them.


We pack every order with fully recyclable paper and ensure you order is fully protected in transit. 

We also use reusable packaging from local companies which reduces cardboard solid waste in landfills by up to 95%. And a 85% reduction in carbon footprint, 82% reduction in energy. Reusable boxes significantly save water and help reverse deforestation. We also use fully recyclable packaging tape. Making our boxes almost 100% recyclable. We are aiming to have our box 100% recyclable by Q2/2022
